Mrs. Kelley
Hello!
My name is Toni Kelley and I'm looking forward to a great year together! I live in Raleigh with my husband Kevin. We have two children, Ravelle and Brendan. Both of our children live in Raleigh and graduated with computer science degrees from NC State. Ravelle works for Cisco and Brendan works for Pendo. It is so nice to have them living nearby. As a bit of trivia, both of my children were students at Green!
I went to Ball State University in Muncie, IN and received my bachelors degree and I also met my husband Kevin. After graduating from Ball State, I moved to California with my family. This is where I began learning about what it means to be a teacher. I taught kindergarten and first grade at Collett Elementary in Riverside. While in California I also completed my masters degree in Instructional Technology.
After having both my children, I decided to be a stay at home mom (which I loved!). We moved to Raleigh and I decided to go back to teaching in 1998. I found a position as a first grade teacher at Green and I have been here ever since. I have primarily taught first grade but have also taught K-1 combination classes from time to time.
Why stay at Green so long? I find the staff, no matter the changes, to be the most hard working professionals I have ever worked alongside. I also enjoy the many different faces I see at Green. I am so glad the the students get the opportunity to learn about different cultures and languages naturally, everyday as they work with their peers. This is a great school to be at and I'm so glad you are here!

Mrs. King- Our Instructional Assistant
Mrs. King has been a member of the Green ES staff since 2001. She loves supporting our students and our staff whenever she can. She gets really excited to see that "light bulb" moment when a child is learning to read and begins to comprehend what they have read. Her hobbies include all kinds of crafts but a few favorites are stained glass, gourd art, gardening, and collecting shells. For fun she loves to play cards and board games. She lives in Garner, NC with her 3 cats Lucy, Luna and Echo. She has a grown up daughter named Rebecca.
Ms. Golden-Our Student Teacher
My name is Sarah Golden and I will be a student teacher in Mrs. Kelley's class this year. I will be a full-time student teacher at Green Elementary starting in January. I was born and raised in Raleigh and actually went to high school at Sanderson, right down the street from Green! I am a senior at William Peace University and am working to complete dual licensure in Special Education and Elementary Education. Once I finish my degree I hope to stay in Wake County and work with elementary students. Things I enjoy outside of school are baking, spending time with family, and anything that involves arts and crafts. I look forward to learning so much from Mrs. Kelley and hopefully just as much from your children as I hope to teach them!
